Tim McVean is a Graduate of Augsburg College. He has played numerous roles with Wayward: Hamlet (Hamlet), Tartuffe (Tartuffe), The Weir (Brendan), Criminal Genius (Philly), Kaleidoscope (Applegate), The Ghost Train (Teddy Deakin). Tim has also performed in various productions with other Minnesota-based theater companies. Hamlet (Hamlet), Little shop of Horrors (Seymour), The Seagull (Konstantin), and The Songs of Love and War (Ensemble), The Marriage of Figaro (Figaro), U Betcha, The Making of a Minnesotan Boy Band, (Jake)
When he’s not making theatre with his partners, Mike and Sarah, Tim enjoys spending time with his amazing wife Lauren, and their dog, Mabel. Special thanks to both of them for their love, support, and hugs ‘n kisses along the way. Wouldn’t have made it without them.
Shannon Twohy - Assistant Director
Shannon Twohy is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota and could not be more overjoyed to join her first production with Wayward Theatre! She was last seen in Interact Theater’s Hot Dog Daze, where she also works as an Artistic Instructor. Shannon has worked with theaters across the Twin Cities including Theater Latte Da, Theatre Pro Rata, Artistry, and the Jungle. She created an original children’s show, Baby Carrot in 2015 and has contributed to the New York-based One Minute Play Festival for the past two years. Shannon received a B.A. in Theater Arts from Marquette University.
Kallie Jo Ascheman - Stage Manager
Kallie Jo recently graduated from Concordia University Saint Paul with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts. She was honored to be the recipient of the 2019 Pro Artivs Award in Theatre for her contributions in the Theatre Department. You may have seen her performing, stage managing, directing, or teaching at Stages Theatre Company, Lyric Arts Mainstreet Stage, Steppingstone Theatre, Cross Community Players, or SOAR Arts. This is Kallie Jo's first production with Wayward Theatre and she was so excited to take on the challenge of classical theatre in a non-conventional setting. Hope Jewell - Assistant Stage Manager
Hope is grateful for the opportunity to work with Wayward Theatre Company. She's currently a senior at Lakeville North High School (LNHS) and during her high school career she has had many opportunities to stage manage since 2016. Some of her works are :The Crucible, Addams Family the Musical, and Alice in Wonderland. She was also the assistant director for the one act rendition of The Diary of Anne Frank for LNHS. Other works of hers outside of school includes, personal assistant to L.J. Johnson’s recent short film, The Gopher (2019) and held the positions of stage manager, assistant producer, and properties designer for the production of PLUCK!, an original musical showcased by Forte Fine Arts Academy (2019). Hope plans to continue her education after high school, and aspires to pursue a career of stage management after graduating.
Anna Hill - Costume Design
Anna is currently the resident costume designer and costume shop director for Concordia University in St. Paul where she completed a self-designed Theater Design major in 2012. She went on to get her MFA in Costume Design from Illinois State University in 2017. Her previous design work include: Neighbors, Coco's Diary (History Theatre St. Paul), Little Shop of Horrors, Twelfth Night, Spring Into Dance (Concordia University St. Paul), Hamlet, Far Away (Wayward Theater Co.). She has also worked for VStar, a subsidiary of Cirque Du Soleil that creates mascots and the costumes for shows like Paw Patrol Live and Sesame Street Live.
Jordan Noltner - Lighting Designer
Jordan is a freelance lighting designer based out of Minneapolis, MN. His work has spanned across a wide variety of lighting environments including corporate events, theatre, dance, festivals and concerts both locally and nationally. He has worked as a designer on events such as the Starkey Hearing Foundation Summer Sounds Annual Fundraiser, The Wheels Up Superbowl Tailgate Party, the Basilica Block Party, and most recently has taken on the role of lighting designer for Saint Jhn on his 2019 World Tour.
Justin Hooper - Set Designer, Technical Director
Justin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from Augsburg College, where he minored in English and Dramaturgy. He began his professional career as a Stage Manager for Glimmerglass Opera in Cooperstown, New York. He survived two seasons but ultimately succumbed to home-sickness and returned to Minneapolis to accept a job as a Scenic Artist for The Guthrie. He now teaches Technical Theater at Concordia University in Saint Paul and has designed scenery for a myriad of Twin Cities companies. He has even branched into the world of Interior Design - his portfolio includes two restaurants, a liquor store, and a brew pub.
Terri Ristow - Props Designer
Terri is excited to be back in the beautiful James J. Hill House for Macbeth! She has previously worked with Wayward Theatre on Hamlet, and The Weir. Terri has designed props and artistic installations for many local theatres and haunts including Park Square Theatre, Theatre in the Round, Chameleon Theatre Circle, Young Artists Initiative, Fortune’s Fool Theatre, The Haunted Basement at the Soap Factory, and Fright Farm. Terri’s current projects include Dangerous Productions Frankenstein (Twin Cities Horror Festival), and Miracle on 34th Street with Lakeshore Players Theatre.
David P. Schneider - Fight Choreographer
David is an actor, fighter, and fight choreographer in Minneapolis. He has studied stage combat since 2001 and is recognized as an Advanced Actor-Combatant by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD). After receiving his BA in Theatre at Southeast Missouri State University, he trained with numerous weapon and non-weapon styles, including the 8 standard styles of the SAFD. He has either choreographed or performed in over forty local productions since 2005. Among these productions, he is specifically proud of his work on Three Musketeers with Walking Shadow Theatre Company, Hamlet with Wayward Theatre, Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth with Classical Actor’s Ensemble, and Theatre Unbound’s Ivey-winning Julius Caesar. He has performed as a fighter at the MN Renaissance Festival, with MN Opera’s 2008 Romeo and Juliet, and with Six Elements Theatre’s Human Combat Chess. He has also taught at several regional stage combat workshops; assists in the operation of the Minnesota’s stage combat workshop (Brawl of America) and Chicago’s Winter Wonderland Workshop; and continues his training by attending occasional regional workshops elsewhere in the country and working with the local stage combat community. David is the sole proprietor of Northern Edge Armory, supplying theatrical weapons to local shows, and offering maintenance to the local stage combat community.
